I’m simple (ask anyone who knows me)
I live in Worcester, UK and make as much music as possible… Life is wonderfully busy! (Father to a brand new little girl – she’s adorable and will rule the rest of my life!)
Currently working on songs and some ambient bits-and-bobs to send off for syncs […Ads and TV Programme type stuff to the common man.]
Love Music.. Making it, Listening to it, Living it! …. MORE MUSIC

I play guitar and bass for Carly Dee, who happens to be a fantastic singer / songwriter.. and who I’m lucky enough to call my Fiancé!

Also play in ‘The UK’s Number One Tribute to Annie Lennox & The Eurythmics … Aptly named .. ‘Eurythmix‘, but they’re a little “quiet”(!).

I’m here on SoundCloud. Leave comments / follow me on Twitter if you fancy looking at nonsensical babble / some muso type banter! … Take care and stay in touch! : )

  1. I enjoyed reading your posts here James. For quite some time, I’ve been extremely aware of Figure’s unmatched value and utility as a modern, low-cost virtual synth, and compared to other mobile apps? I’ve spent much more money on apps that accomplish much less and take up only a fraction of the time I’ve spent usinf Figure. It’s exponential.

I did put it down for quite some time about a year ago, but never for long. Lately though, I’ve been slipping farther down that Figure addiction rabbit hole, and what I’ve found is an amazing community of mobile music makers and digital composers, who all feel the same way that I do.

It makes me a little upset that I neglected to upload my tracks to Soundcloud when I first started out over a year ago. I’m not a professional musician by any means, but music has been the only passion that has remained with me through the years, while all others have faded into oblivion.

More importantly, I came here to express my gratitude to you for reposting my track, and giving me the opportunity to meet so many new like-minded people. I just recently discovered that the Soundcloud web app allows me to reply to the comments I’ve been receiving unlike the iOS app. That being the lame excuse that it is, I also want to take a moment to apologize to you for not responding sooner. Only now have I become aware, after reading your post above, of your disdain for quiet Soundcloud users. I hope you will forgive me. I should have found a way to contact you sooner.

Thanks again for lending me a bit of your popularity 🙂 Hearing all the amazing sounds made by the community is inspiring to say the least. Not to mention all the new likes and followers I’ve received after your one comment… The last few weeks have been motivational. But it’s reading some of the unexpectedly positive comments that has been the most surprising gift, one that has given me a sense of validation I didn’t know I needed.

All the best to you James, and may you live out your life in peace and prosperity with your lovey wife and new daughter.

  2. It’s great to support music makers who are finding their way!… 😀 Thanks so much for the comment and welcome to the Figure Addicted zone! I will say that it’s not as strong as disdain but dislike it a lot when people would download and not leave a like or comment it seemed against everything that Figure is about, and I thought that I should say so. Figure makes music social but your ideas should be protected and achievements complimented! 🙂
I hope you find you own way making great music with all the support of all us Figure fans! 🙂 it’s great to know that I could help you get the attention you deserve! We all all looking forward to big things from Figure this year and a growing Figure community to unite us all.
I wish all the best to you too! 🙂

PS: There is a reply button for comments on SoundCloud app when you turn your phone landscape! 🙂
